JOIN STONE POWER

Stone Power is designing and manufacturing a new generation of power turbines in Hawthorne, California.

We’re looking for engineers and builders who want to take on one of the hardest and most consequential hardware problems in the world.

WHY STONE

Stone isn’t refining a mature product or maintaining a system someone else built. We’re defining the architecture, building the hardware, and creating the manufacturing system that will produce turbines at scale.

Our first product is a 50 MW natural gas turbine engineered for American manufacturing. Natural gas comes first because the technology is proven and the demand is immediate. Steam, geothermal, and advanced cycles follow.

The people joining Stone today will own major systems and carry their work from design through test and delivery. You won’t inherit a narrow piece of an established organization. You’ll help determine what the machine—and the company—becomes.

HOW WE WORK

The work is ambitious, the hardware is real, and the standard is high. We move quickly, keep things simple, and think from first principles.

01

Think from first principles

Understand the system around your work. Question inherited assumptions. Find the simplest solution that works.

02

Move fast and stay accurate

Speed matters because the demand for power is already here. Accuracy matters because these machines must operate safely and reliably for decades. We expect both.

03

Leave ego at the door

Expertise matters. Titles don’t. We challenge ideas directly, change our minds when the evidence demands it, and put the machine ahead of individual credit.

WORKING AT STONE

Stone is based in Hawthorne, California, alongside one of the country’s deepest concentrations of aerospace, energy, and advanced-manufacturing talent.

We work together on site because designing, building, and testing hardware is a team sport. The people making decisions are close to the people making parts—and often they’re the same people.
